Last week: Show (Salt) – preserves, flavors, causes thirst
Evangelism is about people; it’s not about what a person can do for the church or us, but about what Christ has done for the church and can do for people.
As followers of Jesus, we must learn to recognize people who need the Lord.
Many times their pain is covered over – not really visable.
If we are to learn how to show people love and share Him, then we must see people through the eyes of Christ; which is a process – we must LEARN HOW to SEE people through the Eyes of Christ.

- Jesus is reaching out to ordinary people – we so often try to measure people up.
- Jesus looked at what people can become; He never gave up on anyone!
- Jesus teaches us that if we are going to be Kingdom disciples, we must reach beyond the walls.

Jesus had the ability and the compassion to see people for who they ARE and can BECOME – we get stuck on ‘who people Are’, not what they can BECOME.
- We’re often guilty of seeking out people for what they can do for us, not their inheritant value; Jesus saw their needs and their potential.
- Jesus is reaching out to ALL people –

He saw their lostness, hurt, anxiousness, despair, fear and hopelessness, He KNEW HE was the answer!
- Jesus didn’t just hang out with the top folk, He hung out with everybody!
- Evangelism isn’t about prospects, it’s about people! We are striving to reach real, live people with real needs.
- There are many needs we may be able to help meet, but there is ONE NEED that ONLY the Saviour of the World can meet; only God can fill that void in your life.
God has created us with a desire for a relationship with Him – when we try to substitute the ‘other stuff’ for Him, we find ourselves crying at night, not feeling well.
Christ loves us unconditionally! We are helpless and hopeless without Him! We represent that hope as we must make the difference – speaking kindness, showing compassion, extending a hand of friendship to the ‘outcast’...
Without Jesus, I will: stumble, lose hope, have no peace, die (perish)...
The reason we share Christ is because of the consequences of people’s sin and what it is like to live without Jesus.

People see more in us than we see in ourselves sometimes
You can’t give people what you don’t have – as people of God, there are some answers we just can’t give people – but we can always tell them to ‘trust God’
- The work of the ministry is to empower and equip the saints for service!
- Since He is doing great things for ME, I’LL witness for HIM!
Luke 8:2 – He generally cared about people and wasn’t ashamed to help them
Read: John 5:6 – We let regulations (though we must have order) get in the way; Jesus healed the man, and it happened on the Sabbath Day.
Be man or woman enough to go where you are trying to go; don’t let infants in Christ get intangled with your war – they’re weak and have a mindset of what it should be, but they leave the church because of the foolishness they see among other people!
Jesus can work in your life even before we know He is there – even before I surrender!
Jesus walks with me and will challenge, correct and change me!
Don’t tire the Lord out by keeping on doing the same thing over and over...
Most times, people are not asking for answers, they just want us to listen: “Be still!” Just listen to what a person has to say.

You are not ready to lead until you are really ready to follow!
