
THE REVEREND DR. MARVIN C. ZANDERS, II
“Pastor” as he is known to many of the Saint Paul Disciples, is the anointed, energetic and innovative leader of The Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the offspring of Mr. Marvin C. Zanders and Mrs. Jacquelyn Johnson Bain. A native of Orlando, Florida, he attended the public schools of Orange County finishing from Edgewater High School. He received his academic preparation from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He has served Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, Mascotte, Florida, Greater Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church, Jacksonville, Florida and Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, Orlando, Florida.
Pastor Zanders presently serves the prestigious Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church of Jacksonville, Florida. The church has a strong bible study, anointed worship and a heart for reaching souls for Christ. The ministry is involved in strong outreach and evangelism that includes The Light of the Word Radio Broadcast. The church’s stewardship has increased to over $1.5 million for missions and ministry. The administrative offices have been totally enhanced and additional property has been purchased. On June 14, 2008, under the leadership of Bishop McKinley Young, Elder Joseph Sanchez, Pastor and Lady Zanders, the Stewards, Trustees, Officers and Members of Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, Jacksonville, FL, were blessed to burn the $2.5 million dollar mortgage. Much growth as occurred and continues as Saint Paul “Exalts God’s Greatness, Equips God’s People, Evangelizes God’s World, and Expresses God’s Love.”
